Dell's "Cloud Computing" Trademark Approval to Be Reviewed

Dell has filed an application to trademark the term "cloud computing". And, Dell was so-close to final approval for the trademark, but the USPTO cancelled its "Notice of Allowance" on Tuesday. The application has been "returned to examination."

Undoubtedly, the reconsideration of the application has something to do with the uproar around the Internet over the application. You know,"cloud computing" is a generic term, it had been used for years before Dell used it, and on and on.

One thing though: Dell does own the domain cloudcomputing.com, which redirects to http://www.dell.com/cloudcomputing.
